The Africa Food Safety Western Africa edition is focused on shedding light into the food safety, quality and food systems opportunities, challenges and market trends in the Western Africa region
Western Africa has unique food safety, nutrition and food security challenges, considering the region’s over-reliance on imported foods, a large and fast growing population, moderate to high rates of urbanisation and a fast rise in the demand for agricultural produce and packaged food products.
The region encompasses such diverse countries as Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon, Niger, Chad, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali, Guinea, Liberia, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Benin and Mauritania
At the Summit, attendees will discover the latest ideas and appropriate solutions and technologies that shall boost Western Africa’s capacity to avail safe food to its growing population, while enabling the region to trade better within itself and into the regional and international markets.
The 2023 edition of the Africa Food Safety Summit Western Africa will be co-located with the AFMASS Food Expo Western Africa – the largest pure-play food industry trade show in Western Africa.
